How to Create a Personalized Books - SEO enabled site.
SEO is a new buzz word that I apparently did not understand. I come from the world of application development so I should understand it. I’ve even done some web programming I would consider web 3.0: Connecting a web page in a client browser to an actual real world device. (The low level C++ side of that puzzle was done by the brilliant Judge Maygarden with myself working on the JavaScript/c# coding side.) So I am equipped to understand how to do “Search Engine Optimization".
But I did not.
SEO is a complicated process of following the natural laws of the internet’s popularity contest. If the head cheerleader says your name 5 times in a conversation and the other guy’s 3, well guess what!
Now, while that may be an apples to oranges comparison since the top level domain .edu or .gov are the cheerleaders in the actual implementation, this is going to be hard to “will” our site into popularity.
Sure we can buy popularity with Google ad words. But this article is about getting page range purely by search.
Let’s start with about.com, about always has a plethora of helpful articles. So unique and constantly growing content…Well that’s what I’m doing here… We’ve probably all heard that one before.
To be honest, I set out to write about one specific facet of SEO which I learned in my initial search of ‘What is SEO’: Getting other people to link to your site.
What does that mean? Well it doesn’t mean submitting your site to a bunch of directories. It really means you have to do business with a real person or company and have that business be immortalized on the web via a link. (and preferably a link describing the function of the business as well.
Then that site’s page rank is used to calculate the value of the link, and (I think) multiplied times the number of links to your site. Here is a Nice tool I found to analyze links and their respective values. Be sure to use links like the following when getting another business to link to your site!

So, doing real business with a respectable business is the only real way to look like a real respectable business on the web to Google.

Creating Customizable book and a Sneak Peek.
The process of Creating a customizable Children’s book is very simple, though a great level of skill is needed. Being Graphic Designers, Mandi and I are both uniquely trained to handle these tasks. Though they are much more fun now than the ones we had in school all those years back.
Mandi is currently working on our next customizable Children’s book. The title is Wishing Lily, an idea which came to her in a dream a couple years back.
The story itself is award winning in my unbiased opinion and her storyboard and conceptual artwork has been outstanding in itself. Here’s a sneak peak. You can register to be notified when this new book becomes available Click Here
